General Construction
A MAC plant is fabricated on a steel skid designed for placement directly on a flat pad
Foundation without additional supporting structure. The skid withstands the dynamic loads and stresses expected during shipment, and the design limits total deflection to less than 1/240 span when the unit is lifted for placement at job site.

The housing is a weatherproof enclosure made from aluminum sandwich building panels with 4" thick poured-in-place urethane insulation. There is a choice of exterior finishes. Insulation rating of the panels is R-34, and the urethane insulation has about double the insulating efficiency of fiberglass.

Optional Skid Designs
MAC also offers a pressurization "skid" arrangement, where the pumps, valves, piping and controls are all fabricated on a small self-contained frame and the only significant component not on the skid
is the tank. This design is particularly useful in refurbishment of an old plant, where the tank can still be used and the original pressurization system was skid mounted. In a new plant, the general arrangement is developed so that the skid can be easily removed and replaced in the future, without removing or damaging the plant enclosure walls.

Hydraulic System
Piping in a MAC plant is arranged in an orderly fashion, with the pressure relief ladders, tank suction lines, return lines, and outlet manifold in a layout providing a clean, simple flow path and allowing easy access for operation and maintenance.

Electrical and Control Instrumentation Panel Design
Instrumentation and controls are arranged for cabinet and panel installation to provide
Neat layout of equipment and ease of operation. Instrumentation is grouped by pump
or outlet manifold. Components are arranged by function.

Enclosure/Environment

• Air conditioning/heating for temperature control
• Fire/smoke alarm and protection systems
